Atlantic Station Tree Lighting
November 23 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Muster 1: 4pm at yard House anyone?
Muster 2: 6:30pm (really anytime after 6pm) at the corner of 19th St. and Market St. near Lush Nail Bar (232 19th St NW #7120, Atlanta, GA 30363).
Step off: 7:15pm, we parade around Atlantic Station and play a short standstill that ends on cue (about 45 minutes in all)
Costume: Holiday festival! Lots of lights (for costume and music). There’s only one Santa and it’s not you!
Incorrigibles: Very welcome!
Parking: 12 PAD (241 20th Street Atlanta, GA. 30363) is sometimes available. This is the parking lot with the tennis courts. Follow Fowler St until it 90 degrees into 20th St. Parking lot is on the left. You can also park in the deck but after 2hours you’d be responsible for parking fees. PLAN FOR A LOT OF TRAFFIC, leave with plenty of time.
Marta: Sure! Go to Midtown station and take the shuttle from there. The bus/shuttle will be on the road, and people don’t tend to respect the bus lane so plan for a ton of traffic and leave early as well.
A personal favorite! Atlantic Station is lit up so pretty for Christmas! If this doesn’t bring on the (pre-Thanksgiving) Christmas Spirit then you’re a Scrooge. The parade has grown a ton over the years, plan for a 30-45 minute parade around Atlantic Station welcoming ‘the big guy’ followed by a standstill. The standstill location is the old Strip restaurant patio. Entry will be single file until we’re in place. Follow your broom! This gig has an unexpected ending usually.
Note: There is no designated warm up spot at the moment.
