The Marching Abominable is turning 50!
You’re Invited to the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable’s Golden Anniversary!
For 50 years, the Seed & Feed Marching Abominable has been captivating audiences across the United States with our joyful and eclectic performances. It’s been half a century of music, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
So, gather your sequins, feathers, and all things Abominable, and join us for a spectacular jubilee this April at the Inman Park Festival. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime event! Mark your calendars, spread the word, and let’s make this anniversary bash the stuff of legend.

To help us plan for the weekend and to make sure we have all of the supplies, we ask you to fill out our RSVP form. This will give us all the information we need to make sure the weekend is a success. Once you RSVP, we will be able to send you loads of information such as gig details, playlists, ticket links, and more. Weekend Schedule
Friday, April 26th at the Little 5 Points Community Center
- 6:30 pm: Kick off the weekend with at the 50th Anniversary Rehearsal – This outdoor rehearsal will provide an opportunity for active and alumni members to run through the music of the weekend.
- 7:30 pm: Meet & Greet Merriment after rehearsal – Mix and mingle with those you haven’t seen in forever and those you saw last Tuesday. Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring your own beverages.
- 9:00 pm: Inman Park Butterfly Ball Performance – Wear your gold faux formal and lights to blitz our neighbors at the IPNA Butterfly Ball. We will head down to Euclid and Elizabeth and perform at this annual party.
Saturday, April 27th at the Little 5 Points Community Center
- 10:00 am: 50th Year Memories Brunch for Ancestors, Alumni and Abominable – Take a walk down memory lane with other Abominable. Reminisce about all of the memories that have taken place in the last 50 years. Breakfast will be provided.
- 11:00 am: Band Room Opens – Come early to the Inman Park Festival! Enjoy the festival, hang out with other Abominable and get ready for a day of fun. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
- 12:00 pm: Seed & Feed Marching Abominable Group Photo – At noon we will gather for a group photo of all attendees – Current Abominable, Ancestors, Alumni. Wear your golden gear and bring your smiles! The photo will be taken in the park at Poplar Circle and Euclid Avenue promptly at 12:30 pm.
- 1:00 pm: Inman Park Parade Performance Muster – After the photo, head to the start of the parade on Edgewood Avenue. Staying in theme for the Golden Anniversary, please deck yourself out in gold attire.
- 2:00 pm: Parade starts – For those interested in watching the parade, an optional spectator area for non-marching Abominable will be provided.
- 3:30 pm: Standstill performance – After the Inman Park Parade ends, we will head down to Poplar Circle Park for a standstill performance in the park. All are welcome to perform or watch the performance.
- 7:30 pm: 50th Anniversary Golden Gala Abominabash – Wrap up the weekend at Hudson Grille in Little 5 Points for dinner, drinks and dancing. There will be a buffet dinner, cash bar, dance floor and more. Tickets for the Abominabash are $19.74. Plus ones welcome! Tickets can be purchased online on Square. Please purchase your tickets no later than April 20th so we can share our headcount with Hudson Grille. For those active Abominable with financial constraints, a complimentary or discounted sponsored ticket is available. This can be requested by emailing [email protected].
